Privacy Policy — CPO Certify

Overview

CPO Certify is a study app for the AOA Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) exam, published by DIN Tech Labs ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what happens — and, more importantly, what does not happen — to your information when you use the app. It applies to CPO Certify on Android, iOS, and web.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or have access to any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information
• Account credentials — the app has no sign-up or login
• Location data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics/usage data
• Payment information
• Photos, contacts, or any other device data

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services that transmit data off-device, and no advertising networks.

Information stored on your device

To function as a study tool, CPO Certify saves the following data locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage (AsyncStorage):

• Your quiz and mock-exam answers and scores
• Study progress and module completion
• Flashcard review scheduling (spaced repetition)
• Flagged/missed question lists
• App settings and preferences (e.g., your chosen pass-probability target)

None of this data is transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party. It never leaves your device. We have no way to see it, back it up, or recover it if you lose your device — that's by design.

Third-party services

CPO Certify does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app links out to YouTube search results for supplementary video content and lets you optionally pin a YouTube video URL to embed inline; if you follow or view one of these links, that interaction is governed by YouTube/Google's own privacy policy, not ours. Except for links you choose to open, the app makes no outbound network requests involving your data.

Children's privacy

CPO Certify is intended for adults studying for a professional certification exam and is not directed at children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age, there is no personal data to knowingly collect from children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction).

Data security

Because no data is transmitted from the app, there is no server-side database of user data that could be breached. Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's own operating-system security (e.g., device lock, encryption at rest), which we recommend you keep enabled.

Your choices and data deletion

Since there is no account and nothing is stored off-device, there is no remote data for us to delete on request. You are always in full control locally:

• Clear the app's data or storage from your device's app settings to reset your progress
• Uninstall the app to permanently delete all locally stored data

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that requires collecting data — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that change takes effect.
